The AdmissionFP system is headed by Inforoute FPT, who is managed by Compétences Québec.
AdmissionFP, formerly known as SRAFP (Service régional d'admission en formation professionnelle), was started in 2000 and was used by the educational organizations in the Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches regions with the intention of trying to find a solution to the problem of multiple applications made to a vocational training program by the same candidate.
Over the years, more options and functions were added to the system, and other educational organizations joined in. By 2008, all the regions of Québec had joined AdmissionFP, each having defined their own particularities such as how many applications allowed, programs with exceptions, etc.
Each application submitted online is sent electronically to the concerned training centre who then follows up with analysis and management procedures.
Training programs displayed in AdmissionFP come from the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur database and the offers of service relative to each program are remotely offered and managed by the educational organizations concerned.
